Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
In a world choked with sound, it's difficult to find any music that truly lingers and resonates with the listener. Morhceeba are a fountain of such music. "Dive Deep" is an organic compilation of tracks written in the studio with several collaborating guest vocalists. The result reflects the musical diversity, which has made Morcheeba's prior works such a success.

Album Description
In a world choked with sound, it's difficult to find any music that truly lingers and resonates with the listener. Morhceeba are a fountain of such music. "Dive Deep" is an organic compilation of tracks written in the studio with several collaborating guest vocalists. The result reflects the musical diversity, which has made Morcheeba's prior works such a success. They are the most groove oriented act in the mid'90s female fronted electronica crowd. Morcheeba relies on the sweet, fluid vocals of Skye Edwards and a laidback mix of fusion, funk, and blues produced by brothers Paul and Ross Godfrey, on beats/scratches and guitar/keyboards, respectively. The trio was formed in 1995 when the Godfreys decided to go out on their own after co producing six tracks for David Byrne's album Feelings. 11 tracks. Ultra Records. 2008.

Definitely a very good mix of different music styles with plenty to enjoy for real music-lovers.

5 out of 5 stars Fantastic Breath of Fresh Air!   April 16, 2008

Morcheeba proves that the band is much bigger than Skye Edwards. While it took many of us fans to get past the fact that Skye is gone, listening to the tracks on this CD proves that Morcheeba is still a very creative and talented group of musicians. Besides the fantastic song "Enjoy the Ride," another very catchy track is "Run Honey Run." Manda also provides a nice vocal on "Gained the World." Overall, I'm extremely pleased with this latest release from Morcheeba.

4 out of 5 stars Back to basics   April 15, 2008

I used to be a huge fan of the band but the album Antidote was very average. I could not have hoped for better then this new album "Dive Deep". The music and the mood of the album brings me back to the chill sensation of the first album. Good job Morcheeba!

4 out of 5 stars Doesn't Feel Like A Morcheeba Album   April 13, 2008

Just to put in my two cents worth. This is excellent music, the vocalists chosen match the songs very well, at the very least. For me, the best tracks are 'Riverbed' and 'Gained The World', the last one being particularly moving. To me the multiplicity of voices conjures up the word 'Project' and not 'Morcheeba'. Buy this album if you enjoy trip hop at all, it is excellent. Still, I can't listen and wonder how each song would sound with the incomparable Skye Edwards doing the vocals. Can I hedge a bit and rate it 4.5 stars?
