Editorial Reviews:

Album Description
Import version features one exclusive bonus track, 'One On Earth' (Gabriel & Dresden Remix).' 2 years in the making, the trance collective that is Above and Beyond releases their first artist album TRI-STATE. Difficult to categorize due its addictive diversity, Tri-State tunes have already connected with trance fans internationally through the tracks that are already exploding in the clubs - Andy Moor's collaboration on `Air For Life' and the forthcoming single `Alone Tonight' in particular. Above and Beyond are well-known for fusing dance beats and movie-soundtrack moments to produce epic trance, and the uplifting music on this fresh offering is sure to connect with their already well-established fan base and convert a new league of followers. EQ Records. 2006.

Album Details
Two Years in the Making, above and Beyond Release `tri-state', their First Artist Album, `tri-state' is Not an Easy Album to Categorise. Tracks Like the Already Hugely Received Andy Moor Collaboration `air for Life', `world on Fire' and Forthcoming Single `alone Tonight' Will Immediately Impact with A&b Devotees Everywhere. However, the Downtempo Lemon Jelly-esque Balearica of `indonesia', Ambient Title Track `tri-state', the Epic Drama of `in the Past', and the Break-beat Majesty of `home' Will Chart New Ground for the Trio.

5 out of 5 stars Great Album   August 25, 2008
Brittny Luann Gifford (Mesa, AZ)
Great album. I was unsure about getting this album at first because I only knew the one song "Can't Sleep," but I'm glad I got it. It's an easy album to listen to.

5 out of 5 stars Buy it. Why? Because it's good, that's way   April 4, 2008

These guys throw a ton of vocals into their stuff, which isn't characteristic of trance; however, I'm not gonna be a "purist" on this one, because they do it so well. I really like this one. "Can't sleep", "good for me", and "home" are just brilliant. I have no idea what "good for me" would be under, but it's beautiful.

5 out of 5 stars Complete   March 8, 2008
Felipe Boreli Filho (Rio de Janeiro, RJ BRAZIL)
A perfect balanced CD in trance by the trio. They released the best trance album in years. Their record label is the top in revealing new artists... Nothing left to say, the trance Lords these days.

4 out of 5 stars Great stuff   January 28, 2008
Adion (Chicago, IL USA)
A solid set of great tracks. You've probably heard some of it on A State Of Trance if you pay attention. Great vocals, great beats, you'll listen to this over and over and never get tired of it. I've probably already got 20 plays of Alone Tonight in the couple weeks I've had it. Truly fantastic stuff. All the tracks are mixed together nicely, the CD flows smoothly. There's a little bit of upbeat, and some slower songs; if you like trance, you'll love this.

This CD is perhaps one of the best trance CDs I have bought in a very long time, if it can even be labeled as trance. Albeit this album does hold some very strong dance anthems...the real beauty is found in the down-tempo chill tacks. Never before have I found such calming solace in one CD. Amazing. This is an album that has a great mix of chill and trance intermingled in a cocktail of sonic ecstasy. Buy it, you will no doubt be very pleased. The best tracks in my opinion are Alone Tonight, Home, World on Fire and Good for Me. But don't get me wrong...every song on this Album is fantastic it was hard even listing those four without ending up listing the entire album itself!
