5 out of 5 stars best trance record ever   August 11, 2005
Robert Albrecht (Las Vegas)
I have had this record since it came out 3 years ago and I still listen to it all the time. This is hands down the best trance record I have ever heard and I have been listening to trance for years. If you are thinking about buying this record, just do it. You wont regret it.

5 out of 5 stars one of the best!!!!   December 7, 2004
David J. Syrek (nh,usa)
I have had this CD for over 3 years now,and trust me, it is by far once of the best trance CD's out there! The mixing is phenomenal and Stubb's choice of music is simply unparalleled. I have burned this CD for many people, particularly people who state that they don't "like" or "get" dance/trance music- and to say the least, all enjoy it and most love it! Do yourself a big favor right now, and order this CD before it becomes unavailable. I have very discriminating taste in dance music and can't stand most cheesy/sloppy mixed CD's (which unfortunately is more the case than not). Trance Vertigo is truly awesome- I would not lie. You can e-mail me AT: dsyrek@webtv.net to let me know what you think.
PEACE,
Doctor Dave

5 out of 5 stars One of the best DJs in the US!   February 16, 2004
James Christopher David Hoyt (Austin, TX USA)
If you like trance at all, you will love this CD! I picked this CD up just because I recognized a few names (Lange, Tukan, Green Court). I hadn't dove into progressive trance completely and the trance I knew were like Lasgo, Fragma, Sylver, Dee Dee, etc. And when I began listening to it, it was great! Then I was amazed with how well the songs were blended. I hate picking up a compilation CD that is mixed and blended badly. This was DEFINIETLY not. This compilation introduced me to so many great songs, I now have bought about half of them as CDMs (the only reason for not buying the other half is because I can't find them). You will not be disappointed in this one.

Favorite Tracks:
Vivien G. - Shine
DJ Session One - Ocean of Emotion
Hemstock & Jennings - Mirage of Hope
Drax & Scott Mac - Angel
Altitude - Altitude

5 out of 5 stars Great all over   February 14, 2003

Great uplifting beats and vocals. Dance floor music as well.

5 out of 5 stars I am hooked!!   January 7, 2003
2 out of 2 found this review helpful

I am a newcomer to this genre, unless you consider Delerium's "Semantic Spaces" and "Karma" progressive trance (I also have Robert Miles's "Dreamland" and Tangerine Dream's "Dream Mixes" which are labeled "dance" not "trance"). After listening to "Trance Vertigo" I am definitely hooked! The infectious beats and superb melodies have won me over, so much so that I have been searching through countless trance cds and have ordered several highly recommended DJ Mixes ("Tranceport," "Euphoria Ibiza," "Northern Exposure," and "Intuition").

I was very impressed with the flawless mixing on this cd. The 13 tracks run together perfectly and the selection is simply amazing. Mr. Stubbs avoids repetitious sounds, resulting in a desire to listen to it again and again.

You can leave your finger off from the skip button on your remote, for there are no fillers on this cd. I'm not saying that I loved every track, but each one has its own redeeming qualities. My favorites were tracks 1-5 and tracks 11 and 12, and out of those 7 I absolutely loved tracks 1 ("Shine"), 2 ("Ocean of Emotion"), 4 ("Janeiro"), and 12 ("The Sun").

If this review whets the appetite of anyone to give this a listen, I will have achieved my goal.

Mr. Stubbs, if you happen to check this review, I have 2 things to say to you: excellent job and keep up the good work!
