Product Description The 2nd generation CBX-300 CD receiver system is a blend of style, direct iPod integration and superb music performance. The focus has been on providing an accomplished mix of CD, MP3, WMA, iPod and radio playback. It sports a black saran net across the entire frontage, giving it greater appeal wherever you decide to place it. The CBX-300's construction supports exemplary audio fidelity, especially for the low-end frequencies. The design also incorporates speaker developments such as Onkyo's own OMF (Onkyo Micro Fiber) diaphragms and Aero Acoustic Drive technology. OMF is a pure, ultra-fine cotton weave that absorbs vibrations and enables a fast, accurate response. In addition to playing CDs, you can slot your iPod directly into the CBX-300's top-loading dock to access your AAC and MP3 files, podcasts, videos and photos. Unlike the bulk of music systems aimed at incorporating the iPod, this CD receiver system has been designed to deliver serious audio quality and lively music playback. The accompanying remote control gives you more functionality, such as the ability to skip through tracks or switch to shuffle mode. The CBX-300 also includes a video output terminal for output of your iPod's videos or photos. Excellent Product September 30, 2008 Happy Buyer (New York) Purchased this item based on reviews from other buyers. So glad I did, sound is excellent, look is great and if I want to move it from room to room it's simple and easy to do. So happy to get rid of my old, dust collecting big stereo. Highly recommend.

I recently purchased this for my Den, and was totaly blown away by how good it sounds. I had tried the $499.00 Cambridge, and returned it because of the poor sound quality of my CD,s. When I ordered this one, I really wasn,t expecting much, but I was in for a pleasant surprise. I LOVE IT!!!!
Totally satisfied! May 1, 2008 Dave B (Seattle, WA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I wanted a good-sounding Radio/CD unit without detached speakers for a small space... and I didn't want to spend $500 for the Bose equivalent.
I am totally satisfied! Awesome sound!
Great little unit April 29, 2008 J. GRACE (Englewood, FL United States) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I recently purchased this unit for my son's birthday. He is staying with us while he recovers from a motorcycle accident. He wanted an i-pod dock, so I got him this and glad I did. I have a decent stereo system and enjoy quality sound reproduction. This little unit does it all, CD playback, i-pod doc, Etc. as well as quality sound. The volume my not knock your socks off, but for casual listening it's great. Loud enough to fill any room.
Onkyo Review February 13, 2008 4 out of 6 found this review helpful
As I was shopping around I noticed the salesman would always use a music cd to demonstrate the sound. As with most stereo receivers it depends on the station or now with HD, which I don't have, the sound quality is ok. With a music cd or mp3 it sounds pretty good. I'm not in a position to critique to any great length, for me it's a nice sounding stereo for what I use it for.
