Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Use of a highly rigid bamboo material in the center speaker helps achieve an extremely pure, clean sound. A Kelton Subwoofer system with a dual diameter structure delivers a deep, powerful bass. Whisper-Mode Surround allows you to enjoy rich surround sound even when watching movies at low volume.Panasonic DVD home theater products feature a 1080p up-conversion function that converts standard definition images from DVD sources to high definition images. These up-converted signals draw out the maximum performance of an HDMI compatible 1080p HDTV, giving you vivid, sharp and exceptionally detailed high-resolution images to enjoy. With the included Wireless Kit for Rear Speakers, no cables means no clutter. You can also expand your music listening into three additional rooms with the wireless multi-room speaker kit (sold separately). Play your favorite music from your home theater's built-in hard drive in your living room and listen to it in your bedroom, in the den, or even in the garage. The built-in Universal Dock for iPod gives you a great way to enjoy music and video. Just slip your iPod into the cradle and enjoy. The dock charges your iPod, allows you to use the home theater remote to control the iPod, has on-screen audio menus, and also plays back iPod video. The enhanced Viera link displays a menu on the TV screen, making it easier to operate your connected home theater system. For example, you can display a menu with a list of the movies or music stored on your iPod, and use the Viera remote control unit to select one and begin playback.

5 out of 5 stars Best IN BOX Home Theatre System   November 22, 2008
Kiran (Charlotte, NC USA)
I tried many of the home theater systems. But this is the best Home theater system I found. This is working great for my 20 Feet High ceiling room. One thing is sure that this beats Sony Home Theater system.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent quality sound reproduction   November 11, 2008

Easily installed, good directions, and excellent operation. Well worth the money. I am extremely satisfied. Also, I elected the super-saver (free shipping) and received the unit in two days (originator in Pennsylvania to residence Virginia)

5 out of 5 stars GREAT PRICE- - -GREAT PRODUCT   October 24, 2008
John G. Griffiths (Springfield, OR, USA)
This Panasonic SC-PT760 is the second Home Theater System I have owned in the past year, the first being a Panasonic 960. Both these systems are truly a wonder considering the relatively low price. Sound through all channels is crisp and clear and full of features found in systems costing 2X the price. Workmanship is precise and clean making for simple construction. The Owners Manual could be a tad more precise and easy to follow but when I required some simplification, the Panasonic techs were readily available via the Internet.
Bravo Panasonic for yet another affordable, quality product. We are quickly becoming a "Panasonic Family Member".

3 out of 5 stars Good product...   September 30, 2008

The system works great but isn't as wireless as it leads you to believe... had to get into the attic to hide the wires for the background speakers - So while it's a "wireless kit" for the rear speakers they are wireless from the main system but have their own reciever that they are wired to wherever you chose to set them up. We were hoping to find a product to avoid that... It wasn't worth the hassle of sending it back and shopping more since we were excited to get our new TV and surround sound set up...

It offers great sound and relatively easy to set up (outside of the wiring).

4 out of 5 stars Good system, easy to set up   September 21, 2008

This is my first surround sound unit, and it works well as an intro. I recommend picking up an Optical Fiber cable if you're going to hook up multiple systems like I did. The system itself only has one Optical input, and I previously had all of my systems (Cable, Wii, 360, PS3) running through the TV. But if your TV has an Optical Out, you can just use the cable to make the TV output through the speakers no matter which system you're using. The only problem I've run into is the PS3, which plays in surround for movies but not games for some reason.
