4 out of 5 stars Good for what I needed for   July 21, 2008
Robert Saltzman (Safety Harbor FL)
I got mine last week. No signal in the gym that's no big deal. Once I charged it up and got it posistioned on my head over my ball cap I was on my way. I walk my dog daily, now I listen to my favorite music (the 60's) on 6. It cuts out a bit under heavy tree cover but again no big deal. It's a bit cumbersome to carry but I put the radio in my pocket and it workd out fine. All in all I like it will keep it and recomend it. Just don't expect too much. Out door people should love it for walking its great.

3 out of 5 stars Battery life too short   January 27, 2008
Heather D. Stivers
I brought this so I could take my xm radio with while I went to the store but the battery life is only 4 hours. The battery life is so short I can't go to the store and get back before the battery dies. So I don't use it as much as I thought I would. I wouldn't buy it again.

1 out of 5 stars Nice but poor volume level   September 24, 2007

Good reception but the volume level is very low. No way to increase it. I'm disappointed in its performance. Hopefully, the manufacturer can correct it.

1 out of 5 stars Gouge by XM....Shame, Shame!   September 9, 2007

XM has deliberately robbed the customer. The first thing that's terrible is that XM deliberately forces us to use a weirdo battery pack instead of our own batteries. Among other things, this means that you're not going to be able to listen for more than an hour.
Second, the design of the belt pack is terrible and destroys the unit, which means the abused customer must now buy more of these $100 units; the connector between the two components is stressed and wears out because the units flop around as the customer walks around.
Third, the earpieces themselves have a weirdo design that is very uncomfortable.
Fourth, the headphones have lousy sound quality.
Once again, the customer has NO CHOICE but to buy more and more of this cheap crap. XM made sure the unit was designed with a unique connector so we can't use other headphones which are not uncomfortable and don't have cheap sound quality like these do.
What a ripoff. Remember that you were treated like this when an alternative to XM and Sirius, which will soon merge with XM, comes along. Spend your money with the competition when it becomes available. Don't put up with this nasty treatment!

4 out of 5 stars Belkin F8E724 XM Roady XT/XPRSS Battery Kit   July 19, 2007

This is a great idea to expand on the capabilities of this home/car satellite radio. The battery charges pretty quick, and the headphone antenna works awesome! With the battery and the belt clip the unit ends up being a little bulky, but you can always store everything in a hip/waist pack then it is more comfortable. The volume is controlled by the output signal strength on the satellite radio and a resistor type control in the headphone cable; a little ackward, but it works good. The power button on the face of the unit is easily depressed therefore if you are not using the unit and are carrying it in your bag, I would keep the battery cable unplugged. The headphones are a little bulky (since they contain the antenna) but their sound quality is great. Overall, in my opinion, this is a great attachment. Enjoy, Henry
