| Editorial Reviews:
Amazon.com As the Beatles' perpetual dark horse, Harrison rarely got the chance to write and sing more than one or two songs per album. But once the band split up, the former "quiet one" was quick out of the gate with a series of memorable hit singles that seamlessly merged his budding spirituality and an epic, Phil Spector-inspired pop sensibility. This collection, originally released in 1976, combines seven of Harrison's best-known Beatles numbers, including "Something," "If I Needed Someone," "Here Comes the Sun," and "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" with a half-dozen early solo hits including "My Sweet Lord," "Give Me Love (Give Me Peace On Earth)," "You," and "What Is Life." As such, it's a good entry-level Harrison primer. --Scott Schinder

Great album September 24, 2008 Stephanie Taylor (NV) It makes you question why more Harrison songs weren't featured on the Beatles albums. My favorit solo Beatle artist by far! This album is amazing and I highly recomend it.
A disgrace to George's legacy, actually August 23, 2008 TheBandit (SEA-TAC) Please note: the 'one-star' rating does is not intended as a reflection of the music itself. The single star is for this subpar, totally under-represented collection.
This was released originally back in 1976. There is no good reason for it to still be in print. Every track is available elsewhere with the exception of the 1971 charity single "Bangla Desh." Harrison is so far overdo for a good career-spanning Best Of that it isn't even funny. Each of the other former Beatles have excellent career retrospectives available.
More than half this collection is given over to Beatles songs. That leaves a paltry 6 solo songs, and nothing beyond 1976. George's solo discography is rich, varied, and consistently interesting. I can only hope that this is updated with a greatly expanded track listing (omitting Beatles songs) and remastered sound.
Most of George's best July 7, 2008 Jean Barngraff (Mesa, AZ) If you don't mind a few Beatles songs in with George's, you will love this CD. It's all good!!
Anything by George is good ... April 5, 2008 Jimi StCool (Illinois) Until this album I did not know George wrote most of the most memorable songs by the Beatles.
Wish it had more. December 11, 2007 Speedlearner (Illinois, USA) They need to have a Greatest Hits CD with all his early and later works. Several songs that George Harrison recorded are not included in this compilation. I was very disappointed.
