A Music Collector's Treasure January 5, 2005 Jason Egbuna (Brampton, Ontario Canada) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
With most compilations, there are some gems, some okay tracks and some complete misses, which you pretty much have to accept. It's sort of like accepting the few flaws your girl has because she's so great at everything else. Every once in a while (and more often than not with Keb Darge and Dr. Bob Jones) a compilation comes along that reaches perfection. I've had this cd for a few years and still can't stop listening to it, it is by far their strongest compilation, with some serious work in finding tracks that had to be distributed to a wider audience. "Ain't No Love Lost" by Patti Jo has so much raw feeling in it, an infectious voice that makes you identify with what she's singing about. "She's So Good" is another track that shows the difference between Dr. Bob Jones and Keb Darge's tastes and backgrounds, as it is a track that you can't help but move to. Take note: if you're listening to this while you're driving, you'll be singing, bobbing your head and feeling the need to improvise dance moves, alternating hands on and off the wheel. Simply put, you're never going to find a compilation better than this, no matter what kind of music.
