Oldie....definitely a goodie! November 15, 2006 F. McKinney (Houston, TX USA) We have this on wax, and had been looking for it on cd to enjoy in the car. Great beats, and old school rap style...if that's what you like, then get this cd. It will set a party off.
Incredibly slammin! February 2, 2005 Bruce Russell (Costa Mesa, CA United States) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Rodney O and Joe Cooley are THA freshness, no question. "Everlasting Bass" is one of the illest rap songs ever done. If u dont buy this cd, at least download "Everylasting Bass" & while your at it get "Cooley High." So original, and so unbelievable these guys pack heat with massive base action. This is what rap is all about right here! Put down your Chingy, 50cent/G-unit, J-kwon, Cassidy, Cam'ron/Dipset, Nelly/St. lunatics, and Fabolous cd's. That music is just party junk! Rodney O and Joe Cooley touch your inner cool & give u the chills wishing u were in the old skool era. Im tellin' it like it is, this stuff is pure dominance. Also CHECK OUT (must listen to) Afrika Bambaataa's - "Looking For the Perfect Beat", and "Planet Rock", and Planet Patrol's "Play at Your Own Risk". Those tracks are hip hop gems & Rodney O and Joe Cooley represent what the 80's dynasty of rap is all about.
this type of music is not around anymore!! November 25, 2003 rayflo (Phoenix, AZ) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I got my first taste of Rodney O and Joe Cooley way back in like 97, and no matter how many times i listen to their music i never get bored! I was so lucky to see them in concert in Phoenix as well, what a show!! This first CD of theirs here is their best as far as im concerned, if you are a true rap/hip hop listener you will not be sorry you bought this at all!
You can't get enough of everlasting bass October 24, 2003 Michael Rubsam (Colorado, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This album rocks, no question about it, and you will probably be the only person in your town that has it. A true classic.I saw these guys in concert at Mammoth in Denver in 1989, they opened for Public Enemy, and they were awesome, especially Joe Cooley's cuts. You know you've made it when MC Twist dubs your song. Remember: No one comes close to the General! BUY THIS YOU WON'T REGRET IT!!!

this is the true level of rap. people always say "who is that", because they just don't know the real deal. they've got pounds of base and know how to kick it!
