5 out of 5 stars Saving Abel   October 24, 2008
Jukebox Hero (Allendale, IL United States)
I decided to check out Saving Abel's cd, because I'm going to be attending a concert where they are the opening band. When I listened to this cd, I was suprised at how good the songs were. New Tattoo, Addicted, 18 Days, Sailed Away, Beautiful Day, Out of My Face, Running from You are all pretty good songs. If more newer bands would put out albums of this quality(more than one or two good songs), I would probably listen to more newer rock. I've seen a couple of reviews that said all the songs sound the same. I'd rather have a rock cd, were all the music sounds like rock instead one song being rock, and the rest just a mixture of styles of music. Saving Abel is the best debut album since Hinder's Extreme Behavior.

4 out of 5 stars 18 Days is a mega hit!   October 18, 2008

When I bought this CD and hadnot heard of this band but since I have noticed they are getting a lot of airplay. 18 days is an awesome song and worth buying the CD just for it.

2 out of 5 stars Boring CD   October 17, 2008
Book-Lover
The hit they have out now "addicted" is about as good as it gets on this cd. everything sounds the same on the whole thing. the lead singer does not have any range of voice so he sounds exactly the same on every song throughout the song, there are no climaxes in any of the songs with this singer.

i listened to the whole cd a few times to try to find some redeaming qualities (and, okay, to try to find my money's worth) but by track 5 i always ended up turning it off because it just turned into some annoying noise.

Definitely no Nickelback or Hinder.

I bought this CD thinking it would be, all in all, more like their hit song Addicted. You know, like Trapt, Rev Theory, Shinedown, etc.

It's decent music, don't get me wrong, but, i wouldn't call it a rockin CD. It's just ok in my book.

Just think, somewhere a father is saying to his daughter. "Youre going to a concert where they say what in the lyrics?" As he shakes his head.
