5 out of 5 stars Awesome movie   October 3, 2008
Daniel E. Carroll Jr. (Boston, MA USA)
If you love music and love animation this is a must have in your collection!

5 out of 5 stars A Daft Punk Musical? Me Rikey!!!!   September 25, 2008
Untitled (nowhere)
Leave it to Daft Punk to even catch my interest on an anime film. Yes, I am one of those persons who don't watch anime, as I don't find it very interesting. But Daft Punk's Discovery is the only reason why I watched this, and, it makes all of those songs come to life, and the story, while not groudbreaking, is very enjoyable.

The animation on here may or may not be up to par at anime's standards (after all, I have no interest in the style), but this is gorgeous at times, and always evocative and entertaining. There is no dialouge, so all the emotion is shown with the music and facial expressions (you can tell they talk and scream, but you don't hear it). The people who created this synched up the music and film perfectly. You will never have to wonder why they put things in places, everything flows perfectly. And plus, the repitition of songs that destroyed High Life and Superheroes on the album now are good in the context of the movies. They can't stand on their own when I just listen to the album, but in the movie, they work well. And the people complaining about repitition in the songs that rule make sense and all of the sudden don't seem so long and meddling. The pairing of the animation and music render all the problems of the Discover album useless.

There isn't much else to say about this movie. get it now, considering that Daft's punk discovery is better than ever. This may be the only movie that has convinced me to watch it only because of the music (though I want to watch Friday Night Lights because of the Explosions in The Sky soundtrack), and even if you hate anime, you should watch this anyway if you like Daft Punk.

5 out of 5 stars Amazing!!   September 14, 2008
Devin B. Peek (Bloomington, IN USA)
This is a great movie. This movie is so amazing that it has no need for words. And there are no words. The music is from the Daft Punk Discovery album. It is all animated and is a good investment for any music lover of Daft Punk.

5 out of 5 stars Daft Punk - Interstella 5555   September 5, 2008
Greg J. Dudko (Glenview, IL USA)
Four musicians from another galaxy are kidnapped by an evil manager to ultimately become the biggest band on earth.
Daft Punk's music meets Leiji Matsumuto's designs for this animated musical.

4 out of 5 stars Great Songs, but no dialogue   September 3, 2008
D. N. Jordan (Kihei, HI, USA)
When I first saw "One More Time," on Cartoon Network, in 2001, I was so intrigued by the anime, that I couldn't stop watching it. I had to have the rest of the story and the music. This one has it all, great music, great story, but no words, or dialogue to the movie. Now I have to admit, some of the songs on this DVD, were just too good to stop watching, while the others were just didn't have any singing to the music, that was a major drag, but if your interested in DAFT Punk, and you like anime, then this one is for you.
