This popular version of the baroque masterwork seems to possess everything needed to compete for modern definitive version, yet eludes a certain all-encompassing rapture from showiness where some minor modern attempted emulations overstep.

It am pleased to be able to have The Four Seasons complete on one cd, especially played by Nigel . It is a wonderful clear production . He is so gifted along with the English chamber orchestra. A delight to listen to while driving or doing the housework.

Many years ago I saw this performed on TV, Nigel does it very well. On a trip to England I managed to buy this CD and was happy. My son borrowed it and lost it and I was very sad. I can't buy it in Denmark, where I live. Somebody told me to try Amazon, and they had it!!! So I'm just so happy to be able to hear this incredible CD again. GREAT!!!

This is the finest rendition of the Four Seasons I have ever heard. Kennedy plays with such passion, he pulls your own emotion out! Kennedy truly immerses himself into the piece and is able to convey heartfelt passions for each "season" throughout the piece. Over the years I have listened to this CD hundreds of times...and each time I hear something new. Just a masterful version by Kennedy. A "must have" for your collection, even if you own other renditions of the Four Seasons.
