Now playing in a dash near you: Your calls, CDs, DVDs, your iPod and more.

Widen Your Horizons
With a 15 percent larger display that the AVH-P3100DVD, the AVH-P4100DVD's motorized display hides the CD slot, allowing you to enjoy all of your Audio/Video content on the full-color 7-inch screen.

iPod Made Easy
Simply plug your iPod directly into the unit using the CD-IU50V iPod cable, and you are ready to rock and roll. Touch slide scrolling, Alphabetical Hi-Speed Search, Album Art, and improved Link Search make it easy to find your music.

Bring Your Music To Life
Hear the detail, warmth, and clarity the way the artist intended it, from all of your highly compressed MP3, WMA and AAC files. By restoring data that tends to get lost in the digital compression process, we can make your music sound close to CD quality.

Fed up with your Bluetooth headset?
Here's a better hands-free solution. Use the available CD-BTB200 Bluetooth Adapter and Bluetooth-enabled cellular phones for easy, safe, and hands-free operation. The unit acts like a speakerphone, channeling the sound through your car speakers which makes the call sound better. It also automatically mutes your music so that you'll never miss a call (Note: Optional CD-BTB200 adapter required).

Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars good for its price   May 16, 2010
Wilson IRV (Scottsdale, AZ, USA)
I was looking for a head unit to replace a 3.5 inch Boss Audio head unit in my 05 Yukon. I kept coming across the Pioneer AVH-P3100DVD. After some research and reading reviews, I decided to give it a try. I am glad I did bc this head unit works as good as advertised. It is getting the most out of my Bose system and then some. I have owned it for two weeks now and nothing to complain of yet. The double din fits perfectly in my Yukon and looks like it came with the truck almost. I would definitely recommend this head unit to anyone.

4 out of 5 stars Pioneer almost perfect   March 21, 2010

I bought this head unit for my 2003 Trailblazer. It fit perfect, installed w/o any hiccups and functions well.
This is a full featured product, lots of user adjustable options, hard to pass up.

The almost perfect reference is in regards to music managment. When you use the USB connector to a MP3 player or Jump drive, and search through the menu for music, it resets back to the begining of the alphabet each time you back up to the main list. So it's a bit of a pain to search for a song at times, but not impossible.

The clock only doing military time is also not the greatest, but easy enough to live with.

If your concidering an in dash DVD player w/o the expense, this is the unit for you

5 out of 5 stars The Future is Now   March 20, 2010
Christopher Ryan (Chicago, Il)
I just installed this unit in my car today and I am 100% happy with this unit. Originally, I was just looking for a single din unit that could display up to 3 lines of song titles, artists or albums via iPod. Then, I started to look at the double din units because I wanted something that was easy to read. Trying to read the text on those little single din units is just annoying! Some of the features that were important to me was being able to navigate through the menus easily, having a USB connection in the back of the unit because I do NOT want to see any wires coming out of the front of my radio and also it offers 3 RCA hi-volt-pre-outs which is important if you want to add a subwoofer and be able to add an amp or two for your front and rear speakers. I then found and decided to try this 7inch touch screen that had received so many positive reviews and I can see why.

The touch screen has a beautiful display and responds VERY well to touch. I also really like that it's not a complicated unit. I've been able to figure out how to navigate through the menus without the aid of the instructions. Also, I am a sound fanatic and this radio has blown me away. Right now, I only have stock speakers and they sound better than they ever have before.

My one and only complaint, which is very small and NOT at all a big deal, is the fact that in iPod mode it does not show my playlists that I've created. Like I said, with all that this unit has to offer: touch screen that responds very well to touch, great overall look, easy menu navigating, great sound, amazing DVD video quality, the lack of playlists is not at all a big deal to me. On the plus side, I can use the USB cable that came with my iPod for this unit, however you do need the Pioneer USB cable if you want to watch the video from your iPod.

If God drove a car, this would be the radio He would have... I kid you not.

***:::UPDATE:::***

I'm obviously blind. The radio DOES show my iPod playlists.

So basically, in a nutshell, if an Ipod and a radio got together to make a baby... this would be it!

3 out of 5 stars It does not play Video from your USB   February 28, 2010
joseph
I loaded a flash drive to test files that this receiver can and can't play. (one by one and erasing then from the flash drive after the test)

This are the files that did not play:
.wmv -video-
.mpg -video-
.avi -video-
.m2v -video-
.divx -video- the description says that it plays DIVX format but it didn't for me, very disappointing, I'm --- _ sure that there is a tricky explanation for this. What the manufacture has to say about this?
.vob -video-
.mp4 -video-
.wav(wave)-Music- I am surprise and very disappointed that Web files won't play, wtf ?- , I don't know if from a CD or DVD would but from a USB it didn't.

it did play:
.jpg -image-(foto)
.MP3 -Music-
.wma -music-

The GOOD about this receiver is the sound; it's amazing... out of this world. Better than my Bose (of course that I am using Pioneer speakers and an amplifier)
another good thing about this receiber is that I can use the SONY (joy) Wire remote control to turn the volume up and down and to skip songs and folders. Also to fade the sound, and to change sources

as per comment "hi.... about .DIVX .... you must burn the files into a DVD or CD... and then play it... doesn't works from USB Stick... good luck! "

4 out of 5 stars EASY TO INSTALL/ EASY TO USE   February 22, 2010
C. Kane (Bay Area, CA)

I have installed this product and the corresponding Pioneer XM Modules in a 2000 Honda Accord Sedan and a 2000 Ford F350 Super Duty. I refer to the AVH-P4100DVD AS UNIT OR RECIEVER IN THE TEXT BELOW. Both Installs were comparable to the average CD player install. You can purchase an aftermarket harness (Scosche or comparable brand from Wal-Mart), wire connectors, wire stripper to help complete the install. Please make sure your vehicle is accepts double-din recievers. The Accord was easy, and had a gap around all four sides, but no special installation kit was needed. The Ford F350 required a double-din installation kit and trimming of the dash (very minor, used Google to see what others have done, keywords "double-din, ford super duty, F250, F350, etc.) I recommend the purchase of the corresponding remote as well as the BYPASS KIT for the DVD player (sold separately)

Before you get started, understand removal of your old AM/FM/CD/Cassette Reciever. Many times you can get an auto repair manual for your vehicle, or use a search engine to find information on removal/installation of your old Reciever. I also reccomend a 3-6ft RCA cable to connect to the AUDIO INPUT on the back of the reviever if you use an MP3 player other than an iPod. You can route the cable to a convienent location and use a Headphone to RCA Y-Adapter for later use with the MP3 Player. The new Reciever comes with a USB Extension Cable to also route to a convienent location for use of a USB Flash Drive or connection to a USB iPod cable.

Once both installs were completed i was very pleased with the Unit. Controls were easy for me to use, picture quality was great, and the sound was most impressive. I will agree with other reviews that for the price, this is a great Unit. I would buy this product again. Definitely upgrades the appearance in both of the vehicles dash, with a more modern look.

In my Accord, the Unit is connected to the vehicles DIMMER. In this case, when i dim the dash, the display on the Unit dims to the lower preset. It is not variable, like the lights in the dash, You will notice it is SIMILAR TO a Bright/Dim setting, which is adjustable in the Unit. In the Ford F350, i believe i missed connecting to the dimmer, because it does not dim when I turn on the vehicles lights, OR when I adjust the dimmer. I will look into this. As mentioned in the other reviews, the MUTE and DISPLAY buttions are great for shutting off sound or display quickly and easily without interrupting what your viewing or watching.

I have found in the other reviews complaints about the 24-HR clock, this can be changed in one of the menus from <12HR> to <24HR>. This is why the product comes with manuals, or if you are like me, this is why you explore the product menus, WHILE PARKED.

The JUST option (as mentioned in other reviews) in the menu rounds up the HOUR for when you are SETTING THE CLOCK so you dont have to tap the minute button quite so frequently. This is similar to a Digital watch from the 80's or even a digital clock similar to the one in the dash of my Accord.

OVERALL: FUN, EASY TO USE, SOUNDS, LOOKS GREAT. VERY IMPRESSIVE. DONT TRY TO INSTALL IF YOU HAVE NO INSTALL EXPERIENCE. DO NOT PURCHASE IF YOU ARE DISTRACTED EASILY WHILE DRIVING, DO NOT TRY TO LEARN THIS UNIT WHILE DRIVING, "PRACTICE" USING WHILE PARKED.
I LOVE THIS PRODUCT AND THE PRICE> I HIGHLY RECCOMEND IT! and both were purchased from Amazon
