Product Description The DEH-11E is smartly designed to expand your system, customize your experience, and provide superior sound quality and easy operation.Pioneer's legendary Supertuner IIID combines the best of digital and analog tuner technologies to reduce distortion to bring you exceptional FM and AM performance. If you live in an area where reception is weak, you'll hear a big improvement in signal strength. And when you're near tall buildings, Supertuner IIID reduces the effect of multi-path noise, which occurs when the signal is reflecting off of the buildings.Compared to conventional power supplies, the MOSFET amplification circuit is smaller and more efficient, delivering power with less distortion and absolutely zero on/off switching noise. Remember: more power doesn't only mean ?louder?. It also means that your music will be cleaner at higher volumes because you're not pushing the limits of the amplification circuit. For clean, efficient power that will rock your vehicle, you found the right CD receiver.

Never go wrong with Pioneer February 17, 2010 Dorothy Catalano Pioneer has always been the top for me in electronics...they have been in car stereo for very long, and I have never been unhappy with a Pioneer product.
Awesome Stereo on a Budget Price February 8, 2010 A. Still (Oregon) I got this stereo for my '93 Saturn SL2. I got it to replace the FM-only stock head unit. I replaced the blown OEM speakers with 6.5' Jensens. First of all, I find this to be a fantastic stereo. It has plenty of power, the "Loud" amplifier setting does not have to be used all the time to get high-powered sound. Its three-band equalizer (+6 or -6 levels on all three) allows for precise control to match the speakers and cabin acoustics. It gives rich sound across all three bands. I noticed a 100% improvement over most stock stereos I've used even before replacing the speakers.
They were right to say this one has a Super Tuner: it picks up stations I didn't even know existed before. I drive 40 miles one-way through the mountains every day, and this stereo picks up stations about 100 miles away. Typically, stations more than 20 miles out get very staticky in Oregon, and most stock units allow interference from other stations in for a very muddied sound. This Pioneer doesn't do that: local stations here are intelligible for most of my trip, whereas stock units would force me to use MP3s or CDs less than halfway through the trip. I'm considering getting an antenna amplifier to see if I can get stations from California...
The controls are intuitive, not too unlike what one would find on a stock unit. I like it much better than Pioneer's more expensive MP3/WMA CD units with no tuner preset buttons--it's next to impossible to even change the FM channel on those without looking at the manual! This one also matches the decor of my Saturn perfectly. It gives a high-tech, sleek edge without looking ridiculous. One probably could not find a more stock-looking aftermarket stereo without losing that little bit of shininess that the new ones have. Contrary to having "PIONEER" stickers all over my car that just beg for broken windows and a ripped-out dashboard, I would much prefer a more modest-looking stereo. This one fits the bill nicely.
One won't find a better sounding stereo for the price, and it looks perfect for an OEM replacement. I highly recommend this stereo. And for the record: I've had this unit in my car for over a month now, it's a DIY install, and I see no signs of it failing.
Only thing needed is some color. September 12, 2009 L. Cheek (dublin, ohio) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Good quality sound and easy to operate. I would call this a basic/starter car stereo. For the money, this model is priced right considering it's a Pioneer. Other stores are considerably higher (over $100). Lacks remote though. I do think they could have made the numerals/letters a bit brighter; personally, I miss having some color. I don't like the manual fast foward; it doesn't lock in.
