| Customer Reviews:
Works great for me August 25, 2010 B. K. Thomas (Puyallup, WA) I purchased this item to fill out some of the lows I was missing with my stereo system in my truck. I'm not a thumper but this thing will thump if I want it to. The only thing I don't like about this unit is it's just a little too big to fit under my driver's or passenger's seats. It's not really the fault of the unit itself but the design of the floor board in my truck. It does fit nicely under my rear seat but I now lost that floor space for placing items there when I flip up my rear seat.
Just what I needed. August 14, 2010 Gordie Howe (Colorado, USA) I was looking to fill out the bottom end on a factory stereo in a truck. I don't have room for a tube style sub, and this fit perfectly. Sounds great!
Major Improvement August 11, 2010 idyllone Given that there are 83 reviews of this product at this writing, I hesitated to add one more. There are a couple of points worth making however, for someone with a situation similar to mine. I have a standard factory head unit (stereo) without a subwoofer out so you must use the high level connection as opposed to the preferred rca jack connection. I had a professional installation and the installer reommended adding a reducer/noice suppressor to the system for $30. This unit converts the high level (speaker level) out to the low level (rca jacks)and supplies a subwoofer on signal when you turn on the stereo. The alternative choice for subwoofer on is to connect directly to the ignition system which means the subwoofer is on when you start the car even if you are not listening to music. The reducer/noice suppressor is under the dash near the stereo unit itself and is essentially invisible. Adding the subwoofer is amazing as many have said. It is the single most significant upgrade you can make to your system. As a matter of fact, I tuned the bass adjustment in the head unit to a minimum and adjusted the bass level with the subwoofer attenuator. The result is the original speakers all sound better because they aren't pushing out bass as before and it is as if the entire system was upgraded.
Crisp bass without the obnoxious rattling August 4, 2010 Raymond Yu (Florida) The Boss BASS600 is a perfect little companion to any sound system. This unit takes up very little room and produces surprising thump if tuned correctly.
Don't expect this little sub to produce thumps like a full blown box with (2) 12" subs can.
Awesome product for the price, nice audio companion in my WRX.
