Chante gives you "Moore"! August 25, 2008 K. Carter (Baltimore, MD) This is truely one of Chante's best collections since her debut CD. I would have given it 5 Stars, but as they say, nothings perfect! Anyone appreciating exceptional vocals, meaningful lyrics, great arrangements and quality production should have this CD in their collection. Chante's covers of Minnie Ripperton "Give me Time" and Nancy Wilson's "Guess Who I Saw Today" are OUTSTANDING!
Love, Chante. August 13, 2008 William m Coles (BALTIMORE, MARYLAND United States) What an incredible collection of songs by Chante. Collectively they sound like a letter in musical form. She utilizes her vocal talents to deliver upbeat as well as mellow tunes about love and relationships. I saw you is a jazzy atyle balad that is reminiscents of the ladies of the jazz era (Ella, Sarah, Billie and Nancy Wilson). I don't see the comparison to Tony Braxton as one reviewer comments that it is overly sex-driven and see to be forced (in so many word). Chante, sounds like a woman who has come full circle and I definately hear influence of her marriage to ballader Kenny Latimore and wish them the best. Chante is a woman of class, style, class, purpose. If you listen closely you will hear just what I mean. Don't sleep on this jewel.
Chante Moore August 11, 2008 T. Payne (New Orleans, LA) "Love the Woman" is a very good cd. This is one cd you'll listen to from beginning to end. You'll will find something you can relate to in almost every song. If you're not going through it you have been through it. This cd is real. It's all about relationships; the things you feel, the things you have said or have wanted to say. Awesome!
Classy July 31, 2008 Raymond Vaughn (Kansas City, MO) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This CD shows what vocalization is all about. Forget Beyonce, Keisha Cole and Fantasia. They should all take note on how to really deliver a song - from Chante!
3 1/2...I was disappointed.. July 30, 2008 Dimples (Downsouth) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
My expectations were high for Chante's new album, but after listening to all tracks I was very disappointed. She has such a beautiful and amazing voice, but she didn't use her skills on this one. I felt like her voice could have been alot stronger. Out of twelve tracks I only liked three...Always Gonna Be Something, Do For You and Love This Woman. Maybe she needed hubby on this one to make her bring it like I know she can!
