I was under the impression that this work was a little different from other Roedelius releases, which seem to come out at a furious pace and for the most part have this kind of pleasant ambience. Thankfully, I was given the right impression, as this release does stand out. A nice drone-y oriental piece bookends the CD and there are drum machines, with somewhat modern beats, alongside cascading guitars providing the proper embellishment. There is still that "float-y" feeling, but with a tad more urgency and perhaps even creativity. I'd recommend this one for the German electronic fans who are needing a nice "fix" from one of the masters. You can basically never go wrong with a Roedelius CD, but this time you can even go a little more right. It is all very refreshing.
