Mystic and powerful May 15, 2008 M. Magnesova (Sydney, Australia) I love this CD. I've heard it before (a friend of mine has it) and I really wanted my own copy. It's the pulse, the beat... it is mystic but I find it very easy to connect with it. Love to listen to it after a long day, brings me back to my body, makes me more present.
great music for meditation March 28, 2008 Lisa Morris (Needham, MA United States) I love this music for meditation and journeying. There is a slow persistent tabla rhythm which is helpful in relaxing the thinking mind, with just enough zither to add interest without distracting. The electronic synth chords support the continuity of the sound, but is not annoyingly new age. I find that I have forgotten what the cd sounds like between plays --nothing really "happens" during the hour of play that forms a pattern to remember. But this is precisely what makes it good music to journey by. Recommended.
didn't quite get it March 10, 2008 GEM (Australia) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this on reviews that were written previously and it didn't meet the expectations that I had bought it for. I am always looking for music to have in the background of my yoga classes- and this didn't work for me. I couldn't use it as a background for meditation or massage either, silence works much better
Very trance inducing September 12, 2007 Ace (Palm Springs, CA USA) It's so undemanding that it's almost not music, just natural rhythm. Because it's so low key, it's great background music for chanting. Perfect also for yoga and meditation. My only complaint is that it's only about 55 minutes, so it doesn't last for an hour-long class.
The Sounds of Love July 2, 2007 Justin Erik Farrow This CD is a single, freely flowing instrumental composition that succeeds perfectly in aligning the breath & heartbeat in active meditation. Its' rhythms are gentle, yet pulsating--and definitely entrancing. For people who really want more conventional pop/"New Age" selections that are made up of a number of short (less than 10 min.) tunes, this CD would probably not be of that much interest. However, for people seriously looking for mature meditation music--by all means try el-Hadra.
I don't want to upset anybody or bend any "Review Rules," but this CD is really incredible to make unhurried (Tantric) love by.
